Whether your music tastes are jazz, classical, dance or pop, Stomp provides rhythm and Southampton are lucky enough to have the troupe visiting The Mayflower Theatre in September. Stomp provides a fantastic night of entertainment unlike any other.
The group started in Britain and have truly become a global phenomenon with a long running show on London’s West End. With brand new routines, new choreography and new music, Stomp is now fresher, faster and funnier than ever! It is a rare opportunity to see the show away from London and if you haven’t had the chance to do so, this is it! Stomp are a group of people, comprised of several other groups from all over the world, whose sole aim is to provide entertainment that everyone can relate to. Each company will showcase something unique and diverse at The Mayflower Theatre.
Stomp uses a unique blend of theatre, dance, comedy and percussion with eight performers using boots, bins, brooms to a kitchen sink to hammer out an explosive rhythm. The Sunday Telegraph have labelled Stomp “Pure stage magic” with The Independent saying “Exhilarating, entrancing, terrific”.
Stomp has a very limited run from Tuesday 25th to Saturday 29th September. Show times vary throughout the week and tickets start from £15. Students get tickets for £12.50 on opening night and £5 off tickets on all other nights with valid student ID.
