Its perhaps not surprising considering that it has been eagerly anticipated for two years, and has a rabid fan base, as Sherlock series three has broken the record for the most DVD orders made before release.
The hit BBC show, staring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman as the modern day versions of Sherlock Holmes and John Watson, has broken the record in the week after its second episode of the season was aired on Sunday night. Viewing figures for each of the two episodes from this season have been solid, with the New Years Day episode gaining an overnight audience of 9.2 million, and last Sunday’s episode saw final figures of 12.7 million.
In other Sherlock news, stills have been released for the final episode of the series, titled ‘His Last Vow’, which will air this weekend. See the stills below:
Sherlock season three will air its final episode on Sunday at 8.30pm on BBC1.

Thank you for every other great post. Where else could anyone get that kind of info in such a perfect approach of writing? I have a presentation next week, and I am on the search for such info.
