National Television Awards shortlist announced

The nominees of the 2014 National Television Awards have been announced.

The National Television Awards are nominated by the public, with an initial round of voting, before a final list from which the winners are voted on.

The short list includes some fan favourite shows and actors, including David Tennant, Benedict Cumberbatch, Downton Abbey and Pointless. Ant and Dec are nominated for the Entertainment Presenter prize, an award that they have picked up for the last twelve consecutive years.

The National Television Awards are presented by Dermot O’Leary, with the ceremony airing on ITV from 7:30pm, 22nd January 2014.

You can cast your vote here. Voting closes midday 22nd January.
