For those of you who have made it through exams, and even for those of you looking for a little reprieve from revision stress, here is what’s on offer at the city’s theatres in the coming week.
The Mayflower:
Based on the book by Raymond Briggs, the Mayflower is set to be showing The Snowman. Consistently billed as a Christmas classic, it could be argued this show has hit Southampton a couple of weeks late. However, if you’re looking to hang on to that Christmas spirit, the show is running from Tuesday 21st – Saturday 25th January.
Student can acquire £15 tickets for opening night, and £5 on all other performances.
The Nuffield:
Brought to us by Maskers Theatre Company, Sitting Pretty is the story of a middle aged woman named Nancy liberating herself and starting out as a life model in the National Gallery. Claiming to have “something to say to everyone”, the show runs from 21st – 25th January.
Tickets are available for £12, £10 concessions.
