Ubisoft have today released alpha game footage of their first next generation console exclusive game for the Assassin’s Creed franchise.
The trailer, which is just over a minute long, features tantalising hints of locations for game play, suggesting that this next game will be located in revolutionary France. It features images of a ballroom, Parisian streets, and a first look at one of the characters from the game. The end of the trailer suggests that the game will be released ‘Holiday 2014’, which suggest an Autumn or September release date. Assassin’s Creed Unity will be the first game that the franchise releases exclusively for the Xbox One and the Playstation 4.
This trailer comes after several stills from the game were leaked online earlier this week. In the press release Ubisoft commented that there would be much more released in the coming months, and also said “Qu’ils mangent de la brioche [Let them eat cake]!” a well known and direct reference to French Queen Marie Antoinette who was executed on the scaffold during the revolution.
