Orange Is the New Black has been confirmed to be renewed for a third season.
The news about the Netflix-original series was confirmed by Laura Prepon – who portrays the character of Alex Vause, Piper’s ex-girlfriend – via her Instagram.
The picture contains potential episode titles for the third season, along with the caption: “It’s official!! Season 3!! #oitnb #alexvause #backtothebighouse”.
The drama-comedy’s third season has been confirmed even before the second season has been aired.
Orange Is the New Black, created by Jenji Kohan, tells the story of Piper Chapman who is sentenced to 15 months in a women’s prison for a drug-related crime that happened ten years prior to her sentencing. Her, now, middle-class, conventional life is turned upside down.
The second season is to premiere next month on June 6, with a total of 13 episodes being available to stream from Netflix.
