Catherine Dent is the first star to be confirmed as a series regular for the upcoming pilot of Galyntine.
AMC’s Galyntine is to centre on a society that has been a victim to a technology-induced disaster, leaving a small number of scattered survivors who are left to adapt to this new world, each suffering from different situations that require unique challenges.
Catherine Dent is to portray the role of Haven, who is a surviving mother with two children. She is most well-known for her role in The Shield.
Galyntine is to be directed by David Mackenzie, with the pilot being written by Jason Cahill who has also written for the likes of The Sopranos and ER.
The dystopian drama is due for release in the year of 2015.
Other casting news is yet to be announced.
