Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap is world renowned for being the longest running play in the history of British theatre, racking up a total of 25,000 performances since its opening and now on its tour and coming to The Bournemouth Pavilion.
The play, heading out on tour for the first time in celebration of its 60th anniversary on stage, tells the story of a group stranded in a country house, cut off by snow, and with a murderer in their midst. The question remains, who is it? During its 60 years on stage the play has received critical acclaim and five star reviews, being cited as “the cleverest murder mystery of British theatre” (The Telegraph), “A truly entertaining classic thriller” (The Sunday Times) and “Deservedly a classic among murder thrillers” (The Observer).
The play is on tour throughout 2015 and 2016 and arrives in Bournemouth for a limited 8 show run from 3rd-8th August with shows at 7:30pm each evening and a 2:30 matinee on both 5th and 8th August.
