10 acts to see at Love Saves The Day

With the run-up to Love Saves The Day (LSTD) 2016 well underway here is a quick rundown of the top 10 acts to see:

10) Snakehips

Last year’s collaboration with Chance the Rapper and Tinashe on their single ‘All My Friends’ earnt them a top 5 position in the UK Singles Chart. Bringing with them new tracks such as their recent collaboration with Anderson .Paak on ‘Money on Me’, their set is sure to be a hit at LSTD.

 

9) High Contrast

The British Drum and Bass producer is bigger than ever with his recent track ‘Remind Me’ named as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record this week. His sets have always pulled the crowds at festivals around the world and this years LSTD should be unmissable.

 

8) Loyle Carner

Named in the BBC Sound of 2016, this year has been huge for the London based Raper. His confessional music doesn’t hold back with its hard hitting lyrics and soulful beats. His set is sure to provide a soulful shift from some of the more aggressive Drum and Bass, and grime artists playing as LSTD.

 

7) Kiko Bun

A rising name in Reggae and short listed for 1Extra’s Hot for 2016, Kiko Bun is set to be big over the next few months. His single ‘Sticky Situation’ has recently been picked up and remixed by the likes of Friction and Subculture Sage. Over the past few weeks his track ‘Sticky Situation’ has also hit the main stream radio stations such as Radio 1 and Capital Extra, his name is out there and his popularity is quickly rising.

 

6) Everything Everything

Mecury Prize and Ivor Novello nominees Everything Everything are sure to provide a standout set. With well-known hits such as ‘Cough Cough’ and ‘Distant Past’, this Indie Rock band’s set is definitely not one to be missed.

 

5) Mura Masa

With a sold out European Tour this could be one of the few opportunities to catch the chilled out vibes of Mura Masa. Having been picked up by the likes of Annie Mac and recently teaming up with Shura on the track ‘Love For That’, Mura Masa is definitely one to watch and his set should not be missed.

 

4) David Rodigan

Any opportunity to see the legend that is David Rodigan cannot be missed. A huge name in the industry for over 35 years and still at the forefront of music his sets are never a disappointment. With their Reggae and Ska influences and the character of the man himself, his Mainstage set will undoubtedly be a highlight of the weekend.

 

3) Hudson Mohawke

Currently on his own world tour and having worked on Kanye West’s recent album ‘The Life of Pablo’ Hudson Mohawke is becoming a huge name in the music industry. Backed by not only Kanye but also Drake, John Legend, R. Kelly and many more, Hudson Mohawke’s set at LSTD easily makes the top 10 list of acts to see.

 

2) Disciples

After working with Calvin Harris on the huge hit ‘How Deep is Your Love’, Disciples have gone on to create tracks such as ‘They Don’t Know’, and have recently collaborated with David Guetta on ‘No Worries’ which is set to be a massive summer anthem. Picked up by festivals such as We Are FSTVL, T in the Park and Wireless, it is clear that LSTD has secured one of the biggest names in dance music this summer.

 

1) Shy FX

They is no getting away from Shy FX’s huge presence this year at LSTD, he will be taking over the Cloud9 Stage on the Sunday with Shy FX’s Party On The Moon, bringing with him acts such as Katy B, Benji B and Snakehips. The man himself will also be taking to the stage for his own set. Well known for his insane techno light shows and displays, his set will be intense and unmissable.
