In celebration of the centenary of director René Clément, a beautiful new 4K restoration of Plein Soleil (Purple Noon), starring Alain Delon, will be released in cinemas on 30th August.
This new 4K restoration has been produced by StudioCanal, in collaboration with Cinémathèque Française. The film, which is a complex and visually arresting thriller, is the first cinema adaptation of the novel The Talented Mr. Ripley by Patricia Highsmith.
The movie will be shown in selected cinemas from August 30th, with a Blu-ray release scheduled for September 16 (which will be reviewed by The Edge very soon).
