Zane Lowe will DJ at this year’s Graduation Ball, it has been announced.
The 40-year-old DJ will join Lawson, Gorgon City and The Mariachis who were previously confirmed to be performing at the event.
Lowe is most well known for his BBC Radio One weeknight show broadcasting new and alternative music.
Having supported acts including The Prodigy, Deadmaus, Skrillex and Pendulum, Lowe’s increasing popularity has also seen him sell-out his own DJ tour and gain a range of positive reviews.
Lowe last visited Southampton in freshers’ week last September when he performed at a separate event, also at Oceana, alongside Redlight and Zinc.
The announcement marks the third year in a row that a Radio One DJ has attended the annual event, with Scott Mills and Chris Stark performing last year, while Annie Mac was a key attraction in 2012.
SUSU has also announced that with ten days left to buy tickets, almost 50% have already been sold.
The Graduation Ball will take place in Oceana in Southampton on 9th June 2014. Tickets will be available for £39 until 23rd March and can be purchased through the SUSU Box Office.
