Today Fearne Cotton announced on her show that Coldplay will be headlining BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, which will take place in Glasgow on 23rd to 25th May.
Previously announced acts include Paolo Nutini, whose album Caustic Love has become one of the fastest selling albums of 2014, Rita Ora and The 1975, who will be playing on the Sunday. So far Pharrell has been confirmed to play on the Saturday. Unfortunately all the tickets have been allocated, so those lucky few who managed to bag yourself a ticket are certainly in for a treat.
Coldplay have a new album Ghost Stories, that is due for release on 19th May. You can preorder the album from iTunes now. The album includes the beautiful new track ‘Magic‘.
