We can finally confirm that BBC Radio 1 legend Annie Mac will be performing at this year’s Graduation Ball on Tuesday 12 June 2012.
The highly respected dance music DJ joins the already exciting and eclectic line-up featuring multi-platinum selling pop star Pixie Lott, comedians Shappi Khorsandi and Charlie Baker, The Cuban Brothers, Chris Stark, High on Heels and long-standing SUSU favourite Chesney Hawkes.
Union President Sam Ling said: “The Graduation Ball is one of the most prestigious events of university life. After all of the hard work, stress and inescapable anxiety of finals, it’s one last chance for everyone to celebrate in real style with the great friends they’ve made here at Southampton.”
Today also marks the launch of the ‘Golden Ticket’ competition. It offers everyone purchasing tickets a chance to win one of 10 Golden Tickets and gain access for themselves and ten friends to an exclusive private bar overlooking the main Icehouse stage where Annie Mac and Pixie Lott will both be performing.
