After their hiatus officially ended in January, there have been many rumours circulating as to when the exact date of Bloc Party follow up to 2008’s Intimacy would be, something that has now been quelled by the band themselves.
A three minute teaser video has now been put up on YouTube seemingly containing various cuts of new songs that are going to be on the fourth album, simply titled Four. A brief analysis of this sees the band combining a lot of their previous sounds into this album, with the raw guitar strokes of Silent Alarm heard and the poignant electronic arrangements that characterised Intimacy also present.
The album is due out on 20th August and can be pre-released now from their official site. After such an absence, and with Kele’s diving into his solo work, this looks set to be a euphoric return for the much loved band.
