Will.i.am Accused of Plagiarising Fellow Artist

Will.i.am has ripped off music from trance act Arty and Mat Zo in his latest track to be released online, ‘Let’s Go’

The fifth track to surface from his album #willpower is almost entirely audibly identical to the 2011 release by the two DJs. Use of the original track ‘Rebound’ had not been approved by either artist nor by Arty and Mat Zo’s record label, Anjunabeats.

Angry fans have taken to social media to vent their frustration with Mat Zo apparently deleting his Twitter account as a sign of protest. Arty has since taken to Facebook saying “This has actually happened: no contracts or licensing agreements — no deal at all!”.

Anjunabeats also claim to have not had any dealings with Will.i.am, nor does it appear that any other dance artists had been approached during the creation of his album.
