Superhero fans have been treated today – in the build up to the release of Thor: The Dark World Marvel have released two new exciting things: a full trailer for Captain America: The Winter Soldier and a 15 second teaser trailer for XMen:Days of Future Past.
The teaser for XMen: Days of Future Past has been released ahead of a full trailer, scheduled for release on Tuesday. Previous marketing materials include a promotional video and website for the mysterious ‘Trask Industries’ – the creators of the sentinel program, which gives some clues to the antagonists of the films (comic aficionados will know all about the sentinels), and this teaser trailer gives few hints to the action of the movie, showing instead flashes of the major characters involved in the film.
The trailer for Captain America: The Winter Soldier shows our favourite All American Hero coming to terms with life in the 21st century, accompanied by another of the Avengers, Black Widow on various missions, making use of his serum induced powers to help S.H.I.E.L.D. It also promises appearances from Samuel L Jackson’s Director Fury, and the mysterious ‘Winter Soldier’ (although anyone who has a little knowledge of the Captain America comics may well be able to guess who this is), as well as the prerequisite action and drama sequences.
This will be Chris Evans’ third appearance as Captain Steve Rogers, previously appearing in Captain America, and Avengers Assemble and is also Scarlett Johansson’s third Marvel film as Natasha Romanov.
