A new trailer for Disney’s Maleficent, which stars Angelina Jolie as the leading iconic villain, has been released.
The new trailer has been expertly crafted by weaving scenes from the original Sleeping Beauty with Disney’s latest dark adaptation of the classic tale.
Maleficent is to tell the story of Sleeping Beauty but from the perspective of the famous antagonist, giving an insight to the motivations of her evil actions.
The second trailer for the upcoming film shows the character of Maleficent bestowing “a gift upon the child” and piles action-packed clips of the avenging villain. The trailer places dark lighting with a green atmospheric aura at the visual forefront whilst also touching upon the personal complexities of Jolie’s cold-hearted character.
The film is to be released in cinemas on 30th May. Watch the trailer below.
