In association with XFM Radio, Banquet Records in London and Piccadilly Records in Manchester will be hosting launch events on Thursday 20th March for this year’s Record Store Day (19th April). The launch will include exclusive live performances from Tom Smith (Editors) and Tim Burgess (The Charlatans).
Smith, lead singer of Editors, will be joining XFM’s Dan O’Connell at the London launch in Kingston-upon-Thames, only a day after the band perform at the Camden Roundhouse on 18th and 19th March.
The Manchester launch will be hosted by XFM DJ and keyboard player, Inspiral Carpets’ Clint Boon. Burgess, The Charlatans’ frontman, will be performing an exclusive solo set at Piccadilly Records on the day.
The event will also reveal this year’s Record Store Day products which will include special vinyl and CD releases as well as promotional products which are made exclusively for the day.
