The fashion designer and model was found hanged in her apartment, situated in Manhattan yesterday at 10am.
The stylist’s – who was the long-term girlfriend to Rolling Stone, Sir Mick Jagger – death is being treated as a suicide although this has not yet been confirmed by a medical examiner as the cause of death.
A spokesperson for Sir Mick Jagger, who is currently on tour, claims that the singer “is completely shocked and devastated by the news.”
The designer, aged 49, initially started her career in Paris as a model before moving to LA where she became a famous stylist.
Scott has worked for the likes of Kubrick and Scorsese as well as styling Madonna, Julia Roberts, Tom Hanks, Angelina Jolie, Nicole Kidman and Sarah Jessica Parker. She also styled Jagger for the Rolling Stones’ ‘Bigger Bang’ tour.
As well as initially being famous as a fashion designer, she then became well-known due to dating Sir Mick Jagger when their relationship became public knowledge in 2011.
