Upcoming fantasy-thriller film has released its first teaser trailer. Lost River is directed, written and produced by Oscar-nominated Ryan Gosling and is Gosling’s directorial debut.
The neo-noir film, starring Matt Smith, Saoirse Ronan and Eva Mendes, is based on a single mother who is swept under a dark, gloomy underworld, while her son discovers a road that leads him to an underwater utopia which could save their family.
The film premiers today at the Cannes Film Festival.
Ryan Gosling has starred in the likes of Drive and Crazy, Stupid, Love but Lost River marks the first time Gosling won’t be in front of the camera.
