Anna Kendrick has been voice cast for the upcoming DreamWorks Animation’s film, Trolls.
Kendrick is to voice the character of Poppy, a princess in the adventure film which is based around the popularised Troll Dolls. The film will tell the tale of how exactly the trolls came into their colourful and vivid hair.
Directing the film is Mike Mitchell, who has also directed the likes of Shrek Forever After which was released back in 2010. The writer of the screenplay will be Erica Rivinoja who has also created the scripts of other films such as Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2.
Kendrick, who is well-known for starring in Pitch Perfect as well as featuring in the upcoming Into The Woods as Cinderella, is the first official star to be voice cast for the upcoming family film.
The film is to be released in the UK on 21st October 2016.
