This week sees the release of CHVRCHES’ first new material since the release of their debut record in 2013, which features on the rescoring of Drive, a project curated by Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe. Elsewhere, Bring Me The Horizon return with a new single following their biggest headline date at London’s Wembley Arena last night, Union J are back with their second record and Bastille release their collaborative mixtape VS. (Other People’s Heartache, Pt. III).

CHVRCHES – ‘Get Away’
This week CHVRCHES will be releasing their first new material since the release of their debut album The Bones of What You Believe. The Scottish trio have been part of an exciting collaboration with a variety of artists with the rescoring of the Ryan Gosling featuring film Drive. CHVRCHES contributed new single ‘Get Away’ to the reworking of the 2011 soundtrack, a project curated by BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe. The soundtrack also features the likes of Foals, 1975 and Bastille. ‘Get Away’ will be available to buy tomorrow (7th December). Listen to the track below.
Bring Me The Horizon – ‘Drown’
Ahead of their biggest ever headline date at London’s Wembley Arena, Bring Me The Horizon shared a new single ‘Drown’ with an accompanying video. In anticipation of their headlining the venue last night (5th December), the band produced a song “worthy of the arena” and specifically for it as the single won’t feature on the band’s upcoming record which will be their fifth following Sempiternal. The band also joined CHVRCHES in the rescoring of Drive with the original song titled ‘Don’t Look Down’. Listen to Bring Me The Horizon’s upcoming single ‘Drown’ below.

Union J – You Got It All – The Album
Following the release of single ‘You Got It All’ last week, Union J will be releasing their second album of the same name this week. You Got It All – The Album follows the boy band’s self-titled debut record released last year. The album entered the UK Albums Chart at number six. The first single from their forthcoming album ‘Tonight (We Live Forever)’ did respectfully well in the charts debuting at number nine, marking it as the group’s third top ten hit. However Union J’s most recent single ‘You Got It All’ peaked at number 64 in Ireland only. Bastille – VS. (Other People’s Heartache, Pt. III)
Dan Smith fronted band Bastille return this week with the third instalment of their mixtapes VS. (Other People’s Heartache). The EP features collaborations with MNEK and Grades. The band recently shared the video for ‘Torn Apart’ which features Grades and is the mixtape’s official lead single. Last week Bastille released another taste of the upcoming record’s sound with ‘Bite Down featuring vocals from the Haim sisters which was premiered by Zane Lowe on BBC Radio 1 as his Hottest Record.
