Up-and-coming singer-songwriter Holly Fletcher AKA Låpsley has revealed the video for ‘Falling Short’.
The track is a stripped-back piano ballad given an experimental twist as Fletcher’s ethereal vocals are blended with what seems to be a male voice produced by a drop in the pitch of her own vocals giving the track a self-produced personal element.
The accompanying video reflects the song with its minimalist, monochrome aesthetic and somewhat surreal visuals showing only the 18-year-old singer holding a man in her arms.
The track features on Låpsley’s upcoming EP titled Understudy which is available to pre-order now on iTunes and is set for release 5th January.
Låpsley has been nominated for the BBC Sound of 2015 poll, standing alongside the likes of Years & Years and George the Poet.
