Avengers: Age of Ultron premiered a new trailer during ESPN’s coverage of the College Football Playoff National Championship today and it seems Iron Man’s creations are once again being used against him.
The long-awaited promo sees Marvel’s mightiest heroes Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hawkeye, Hulk and Black Widow reunite to face the threat posed by malevolent AI Ultron (voiced by James Spader).
Joss Whedon is back to write and direct the sequel to 2012’s $1.5 billion box office hit that launched Marvel’s hugely successful co-op franchise.
This follows the big reveal at the end of Captain America: The Winter Soldier that two twins with powers were set to be featured and cause the Avengers a great deal of trouble.
This trailer release also follows teaser trailers from the later release of Ant-Man who is also an Avenger in the comic universe. Will he make an appearance? The director has before denied these rumours though the after credit clip has been used before in this way.
Avengers: Age of Ultron will be released in UK cinemas on 24th April and in the US on 1st May.
