Disney will be releasing a short, seven-minute film to follow on from 2013’s smash-hit animation, Frozen, and have shared the first stills.
The short film will see main characters Elsa (Idina Menzel), Anna (Kristen Bell), and everyone’s favourite snowman Olaf (Josh Gad) reunite for a birthday party organised by Elsa in Anna’s honour. However, things do not go to plan when Elsa comes down with a cold, but not the conventional cold, as director Jennifer Lee explains: “Elsa doesn’t get a cold in the usual way. She’s special. Surprising things occur that wreak a little havoc.”
Husband and wife songwriting duo, Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez ,have returned with, a new song for the short, following the worldwide success of ‘Let It Go’. Josh Gad said about the new track that “if history is any indicator, kids will go nuts.”
Frozen Fever will be shown before Cinderella when it is released on the 13th March in the US and on the 3rd April when it is released over here in the UK. See more stills below.
