Channel 5 has confirmed the return date for Gotham. The crime series – which is based on the DC Batman comic book franchise – will air a double-bill on Monday 16th March at 9pm.
The drama took a midseason break from UK schedules after its tenth episode in December amid critical praise. Episode eleven is entitled ‘Rogue’s Gallery’ and someone in Arkham Asylum is doing experiments on the inmates while Oswald finds himself in jail.
Gotham focuses on the early career of Detective James Gordon (Ben McKenzie), as well as exploring the origins of iconic Batman characters such as Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor), Riddler (Cory Michael Smith) and Catwoman (Camren Bicondova).
Creator and showrunner Bruno Heller recently teased the introduction of a character who “may or may not be the Joker.”
Gotham airs on Fox in the US and on Channel 5 in the UK.
