A trailer for Game of Thrones season five previews the war ahead for all of the citizens of Westeros. It seems we all need to prepare to pick our side.
The extended look at the upcoming season was part of the launch of HBO Now at Apple’s ‘Spring Forward’ event today, where it was also announced that the cable-free streaming service will be exclusive to Apple devices at launch.
Included in the teaser is Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) taking the final steps towards war with the armies of Westeros and again she’s talking about breaking the wheel. While Jon Snow (Kit Harington) tries to bring those beyond The Wall together to oppose an undead horde.
New Game of Thrones cast member Jonathan Pryce can be glimpsed briefly as King’s Landing’s emerging religious leader, the High Sparrow, though no new sightings of Oberyn Martell’s whip wielding daughters.
The series will hold its upcoming world premiere at the Tower of London on 18th March, ahead of its US airing on HBO on 12th April. Sky Atlantic in the UK will air the episode one day later.
