Florence + the Machine have revealed the latest single from their upcoming album.
New ‘Ship to Wreck’ will feature on the band’s third LP, How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful, due for release in June. The album will follow Lungs and Ceremonials, both of which reached number one in the UK.
The new single follows the recent ‘St. Jude’ which was accompanied by a video as well as the album’s lead single, ‘What Kind of Man’, which entered the top 40 in the UK upon its release.
When discussing the new track, Welch explained: “I guess I was thinking about my own self destructive side, and how you can make something only to tear it down, enjoy/destroy, create/devastate etc… When you’re in that whirlwind, you often end up breaking the thing you love the most.”
