It has been confirmed that One Direction will perform at this year’s Summertime Ball.
The band – which have recently lost a member due to the departure of Zayn Malik and are now a four-piece – will take to the stage at London’s Wembley Stadium for the Capital FM event.
The band are the only act confirmed for the event so far, which will mark their first performance as a four-piece in London.
The founder and exective president of Global Radio, who own Capital FM, has said: “Only Capital can bring our listeners the world’s hottest superstar hit music artists all in one place, and they don’t get any hotter than this.
“Harry, Louis, Niall and Liam are the first massive act in our line-up. I can’t wait for Capital to reveal the other names joining them at this year’s Summertime Ball with Vodafone.”
The event will take place on Saturday 6th June later this year, with previous performers consisting of the likes of Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift and Katy Perry.
