Both David Tennant and Elisabeth Moss are to star in an upcoming drama entitled Metanoia.
The film tells the story of world-renowned Scottish psychiatrist R.D.Laing and his unique community at Kingsley Hall, East London, during the 1960s.
David Tennant (Doctor Who, Broadchurch, Gracepoint) is confirmed to play the lead of R.D. Laing and Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men, Top of the Lake,) is also attached alongside in another lead role.
When discussing the project, Tennant said: “I have long been fascinated by the life and work of RD Laing. This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate and discover this important man and I am honoured and thrilled to be involved in telling this story. Robert Mullan’s passion for the subject is inspiring and the presence of the brilliant Elisabeth Moss makes this something I cannot wait to start work on.”
The film will be produced by Gizmo Films and MMC Studios as a UK/Germany co-production.
Shooting will take place early 2016.
