Shady’s back – Since March, Eminem has been dropping hints of his new single, ‘Phenomenal’. Now the rapper has released the official track in its entirety.

The musician recorded the hard-hitting single as part of the soundtrack for Antoine Fuqua’s upcoming boxing film Southpaw, which stars Jake Gyllenhaal in the lead role.
Speaking of the collaboration, Shady Records president Paul Rosenberg, stated:
“We have been involved in developing Southpaw since its inception, and Eminem has dedicated himself to ensuring that this film captured his passion for the project through his music.”
‘Phenomenal’ has a crashing drum-patterned beat and uplifting lyrics – which compliments Southpaw‘s powerfully emotional narrative. The plot focuses on a professional fighter (Gyllenhaal) who tragically loses his wife and must fight to win the respect and custody of his young daughter.
Southpaw, which also stars Rachel McAdams, Forest Whitaker and Rita Ora is set to be released on 24th July.
