The first full official trailer for the latest 007 offering, Spectre, has been unveiled.
Directed by Sam Mendes, the 24th film in the James Bond franchise once again follows Daniel Craig’s Bond as he delves into his past and sets out to uncover a sinister organisation called SPECTRE.
Unlike previous teasers, this trailer is a lot more revealing in it’s content – giving us glimpses of both Bond’s good-guy associates and his latest enemies. Among the reprisals, the trailer opens with the unnervingly powerful voice of Ralph Fiennes, who returns as Gareth Mallory – A.K.A; The new ‘M’ following Judi Dench’s departure at the end of Skyfall. Also making an appearance is Ben Whishaw’s earnest Quartermaster (Q), as well as Naomie Harris’ Miss Moneypenny.
But the new faces that are dotted in the trailer are far more intriguing. We get a more in-depth look at the latest actresses to be deemed Bond Girls – with particular focus on Lea Seydoux’s feisty young character, Madeleine Swann. And most excitingly, we get our first real glimpse of Christoph Waltz’ mysterious villain, Oberhauser, as he finally emerges from the shadows and professes to be the “author of all [Bond’s] pain.”
The film also stars Monica Bellucci, Rory Kinnear, Andrew Scott, Dave Bautista and Rory Kinnear.
Spectre is set to open in UK cinemas on 26th October, at the same time as the film’s world premiere takes place in Central London. Watch the new trailer below.
