FOX has released an exciting second teaser for the upcoming revival of The X-Files.
The teaser begins with the same opening as the previous version, but this time treats fans to a short scene between Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) – in their first interaction since the series’ second feature film – I Want To Believe – which was released in 2008.
The scene may be short, but it gives a glimpse as to where Mulder and Scully are at in the present day. Both seem extremely defeated and lost, pointing towards the ’emotional arc’ that creator Chris Carter mentioned in a recent podcast interview on Nerdist.
Additionally, it has been confirmed that fan favourites The Lone Gunmen (Bruce Harwood, Tom Braidwood and Dean Haglund) are set to return to the series in an as yet unknown capacity, bearing in mind what happened to the trio in the original series.
