Netflix have finally revealed the release date for their most recent Marvel collaboration, Jessica Jones.
The news was announced in a brand new teaser, that is very visually striking – despite being short of any actual footage from the upcoming series.
The series will star Krysten Ritter as the eponymous Marvel heroine, who starts her own detective agency after a tragic event puts her superhero career to a sudden end. David Tennant will also star as Jones’ nemesis, Kilgrave, while Mike Colter is set to appear as her fellow superhero/love interest, Luke Cage. Rachael Taylor, Carrie-Anne Moss, Eka Darville, Erin Moriarty and Wil Travel are among the supporting cast.
Jessica Jones is the second series in a collection of forthcoming Marvel/Netflix productions, which began in April with the hugely successful resurgence of Daredevil. Two more series – Luke Cage and Iron Fist – are set to follow, in order to set up an eventual Defenders team-up.
All 13 episodes of Jessica Jones will be available to stream exclusively on Netflix from 20th November 2015. Watch the teaser below.
