Lady Gaga has released a music video to accompany her new track ‘Til It Happens To You’; a song about sexual assault on university premises.
The song features on the campus rape documentary, The Hunting Ground, which premiered back in January of this year. The video is directed by Catherine Hardwicke, the director of Twilight, while the track has been written by famous songwriter Diane Warren.
The song is dedicated to survivors of sexual assault around the world. A portion of the proceeds from the song will be donated to organisations that work with and support survivors of rape and sexual assault.
Discussing the release of the video, Gaga tweeted: “We hope u feel our love & solidarity through the song & perhaps find some peace in knowing u r not alone through this film.”
