It would seem that Adele has finally announced the release date of her much anticipated third album.
NME has reported that the as-yet-untitled record will be released on 20th November, with the lead single set to arrive in either “the first or second week of November.”
It has been over five years since Adele released her record-breaking album, 21, which featured chart-toppers such as ‘Someone Like You’ and ‘Rolling in the Deep’. It has also been three years since her Oscar-winning Bond theme, ‘Skyfall’, was released.
The new album is rumoured to be called 25, in keeping with the singer’s age-based title theme, as echoed in previous albums, 19 and 21.
There is little else known about the record so far, as Adele has kept everything tightly under wraps. Blur’s Damon Albarn worked with Adele on the forthcoming album, but has since stated that he doesn’t believe she will use the material they recorded and went on to call her new sound “very middle of the road.”
The as-yet-untitled album is currently slated for release on 20th November. Remind yourself of ‘Skyfall’ in the video below.
