The release date for the reboot of the Rollercoaster Tycoon series has finally been confirmed.
Rollercoaster Tycoon World was initially revealed at Gamescom in 2014, but has switched developer three times since then. Current developer, Nvizzio Creations have announced via their website the details for the game’s release.
The standard edition – initially only available for PC and via Steam – will be £29.99 with a deluxe version also available at £44.99. The deluxe version will include two exotic maps packs, more ground textures, golden park gates and a Panda mascot. There will also be an as yet unpriced Ultimate Collection that will include the three previous games in the series.
Rollercoaster Tycoon World is the first full game in the franchise since 2004, following a universally panned mobile-based reboot that was released last year. If you pre-order the game, you will receive access to two betas in October and November as well as five extra in-game skins.
Finally, Nvizzio has confirmed that the game will come to Mac but an exact release date has yet to be confirmed.
Rollercoaster Tycoon World will be released on 10th December 2015. Watch a behind the scenes trailer below.
