“It’s a trap!” you might say, but more and more information about the newest addition to the behemoth of blockbusters, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, is coming out by the day.
In the latest of confirmed rumours, Tim Rose, the original actor who played the fish-headed Admiral Ackbar, has revealed that he has indeed returned for the revival of the series.
While there are no details about the conditions (or the duration) of his cameo, the actor did take time to discuss his frustration over the secrecy of the film: “Out of the need to be secret, we’re not actually able to get everything we need to do our jobs as well as we could, and as someone who has been doing it for 35 years, I find it very frustrating.”
This statement follows similar comments made by fellow returning star, Anthony Daniels, when he announced that he was reprising his role as the protocol droid C-3PO; “The secrecy has been ludicrous,” he said. “For heaven’s sake, it’s a movie.”
No matter how secretive the process behind it, Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be out for all (in the UK) to enjoy from the 17th December. Watch the trailer below.
