Following the current onslaught of teasers in the run-up to the series’ premiere, Netflix have released yet another sneak peak at their latest Marvel co-creation, Jessica Jones.
Unlike previous clips, this latest visual offers a snide glimpse into the main plot of the series, as the menacing tones of David Tennant can be heard in a mysterious voiceover, taunting Krysten Ritter’s heroine with the knowledge of her super-secret.
Tennant will be playing the main antagonist of the series, Zebediah Kilgrave – a nemesis also known as the Purple Man. After a tragic incident, Jones retreats from superhero life, opting instead to start her own detective agency. If this latest trailer is anything to go by, Kilgrave may just be the cause of her exile, as well as the burning fire that fuels her new mission.
Also starring Mike Colter, Rachael Taylor, Carrie-Anne Moss, Eka Darville, Erin Moriarty and Wil Travel, Jessica Jones is the second series in a collection of forthcoming Marvel/Netflix productions, which began back in April with the hugely successful resurgence of Daredevil.
Two more series – Luke Cage and Iron Fist – are set to follow, in order to set up an eventual Defenders team-up.
All 13 episodes of Jessica Jones will be available to stream exclusively on Netflix from 20th November 2015. Watch the new teaser below.
