Marvel has revealed a brand new teaser for the highly anticipated second season of Daredevil at this year’s New York Comic Con.
The 30 second trailer was released by Marvel and Netflix over the weekend at the popular convention, and has already got fans excited for the new season, which is due to be released next spring.
The first season, which debuted back in April, was critically praised for its well-choreographed action sequences and distinctive tonality from the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe to which it belongs. This dark tone seems set to carry through into the next season, as is evident in the new promo.
As well as showing old faces, the trailer also introduces glimpses of highly anticipated new characters such as Elektra Natchios (Elodie Yung) and Frank Castle/The Punisher (Jon Bernthal).
The Netflix original series, created by Drew Goddard and starring Charlie Cox in the eponymous role, is the first of four intended Marvel co-productions, which will lead to a collaborative Defenders series.
Daredevil: Season 2 will premiere on Netflix in April 2016. Watch the teaser below.
