Following a week of teasing details of her new album, Adele has finally released her new single – entitled ‘Hello’ – alongside a stunning six-minute-video.
Directed by Xavier Dolan, the sepia-toned visual follows the singer as she navigates an English country-home. Within the video, the singer also shows off some impressive acting skills as she interacts with a love interest.
Interestingly, the video was filmed in mid-October, just outside of Montreal. Speaking of filming, Dolan said: “When I first heard [the single], all the images were already running by so clearly in my head – and her trust and generosity allowed me to create freely.”
“Being on set with her was wonderful,” he continued. “And the thought of directing her in the ‘acting’ aspect of the term was exciting. I discovered that she’s a very talented actress – no matter what she’ll tell you.”
‘Hello’ is the singer’s first single in three years, following her Oscar-winning Bond theme ‘Skyfall’, and will act as the lead track for her third studio album, 25. Announcing the new music, Adele wrote an open letter to fans promising that the upcoming record would be a “make up album.”
‘Hello’ is available to buy now. Meanwhile, 25 will be released on 20th November. Watch the video below.

Who plays the love interest, does anyone know? I recognise him from somewhere and it’s really bugging me…
Looks a lot like Michael Lee from The Wire?
