Function and wedding band, Big Town Boppers are set to perform at The University of Southampton, for this year’s Christmas lights switch-on event.
The event, which will take place on Monday 16th November, will see the various festive lights around Highfield campus be ceremoniously switched on by SUSU’s Deputy Vice Chancellor, Adam Wheeler and the Enactus World Cup-winning team.
The event will start at 4pm on the Redbrick, at which time you can peruse the Christmas market for a selection of festive gifts. The University’s brass band will be playing Christmas carols from 4.30pm, with more live acoustic music to be enjoyed in The Bridge.
The Christmas lights will be officially turned on at 6pm, before The Big Town Boppers take to the outdoor stage to perform a selection of popular festive hits. At 7pm, the band will head over to the Stags, where Christmas karaoke will also take place.
You can also claim one complimentary drink by registering for the event here. QR codes/printed tickets can be exchanged for a cup of mulled wine, mulled cider of a festive soft drink from 4pm, at any one of SUSU’s drinking outlets (The Bridge, The Stags and two outdoor bars).
