Aiden are set to go on a farewell tour in 2016. The so-called ‘godfathers of grave’ will be joined by Ashetoangels and Never Found as they travel around the UK for ‘The Last Sunrise’ tour.
The American punk rock band from Seattle, were previously on hiatus after their ‘Something Wicked This Way Comes’ tour in 2012., with all members focusing on different bands. In January 2013, it was confirmed in an interview that they planned to disband after the release of one final album.
A reunion was hinted at in December 2014, but the online silence was broken after the group posted ‘2015’ on their Facebook page – hinting at a reunion and fuelling hopes about an album and tour. After some reworking of the band members (with Nick Wiggins being replaced by Kenneth Fletcher), the album and tour are finally underway.
Their farewell tour will come to the UK in 2016, with Aiden playing their landmark album Nightmare Anatomy on ten different dates across the country – starting on 16th January with a gig at Manchester’s Sound Control. Other venues include Bristol Tunnels on the 24th, Plymouth’s ‘The Hub’ and Southampton’s Joiners on the 25th and 27th respectively, before the band wrap up with a performance at London’s Underworld on 29th January.
Aiden will be joined by Ashestoangels – a self-defined ‘New Grave’ band from Bristol – and Never Found, a rock/metal/punk band from Oxford and Bridgend.
Tickets are £15 and available to buy here. Limited Ashestoangels Horror Cult tickets are also available as well as VIP tickets.
