After months of speculation, it has finally been confirmed that Adele will take to the Pyramid Stage at this year’s Glastonbury Festival.
The award-winning singer will headline the Saturday night at Worthy Farm, joining previously announced headliners Muse and Coldplay. She announced the news during her gig at the 02 Arena this evening (Friday 18th March).
“I wanted to do it last year but my record wasn’t ready,” she said. “And to the people who say I am too boring to headline, you’re more fucking boring for moaning about me headlining.”
The news has also been confirmed by Glastonbury’s official twitter account, with the festival’s co-organiser, Emily Eavis calling Adele’s booking “a great honour.” The singer previously played Glastonbury at the beginning of her career in 2007.
Glastonbury will take place from 22nd-26th June. For more information and ticket details, visit their website.
