Simon Pegg is reportedly in talks to star in Steven Spielberg’s upcoming adaptation of Ernest Cline’s novel, Ready Player One.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Pegg is in negotiations to join the cast of the sci-fi film, and could portray Orgen Morrow, the co-creator of the fictional virtual-reality operating system named OASIS.
If Pegg is indeed cast in this role, he will join the already confirmed Tye Sheridan (portraying the protagonist Wade Watts), Olivia Cooke (portraying Art3mis) and Ben Mendelsohn (portraying the antagonist Nolan Sorrento) for the film, which is set begin filming this June.
Ready Player One will be released in theatres on 30th March 2018.
