Bestival have announced Temple Island – a new stage that acts as a “rave oasis” for fans of dance music.
Undoubtedly one of the weekend’s more off the wall appearances, Temple Island will see the likes of Aled Jones, Rob da Bank, Annie Nightingale and Goldie taking to the microphone with their own individualistic DJ sets.
Other acts in the Temple Island line-up include Artwork, Avalon Emerson, Bodhi, Brothers Black, Ed Solo, Icarus, Hadda Hodgson and Shadowchild.
Speaking of the new stage, curator Rob Da Bank said:
“However hard I try to stay away from the brain-melting mega-rave zone that is Temple Island at Betsival the more I seem to get dragged into the madness. With its unique stepped dancefloor and open air Ibiza vibe it really is one of our best venues at Bestival. Last year it seemed to be a lock out from lunchtime till the wee hours, and this year will be no different with so many amazing names and legends from Goldie and Annie Nightingale to new bloods My Nu Leng and Oneman… oh yeah and I appear to be playing a history of jungle with Aled Jones MCing over the top”.
Bestival will take place at Robin Hill Country Park in the Isle of Wight from 8th-11th September. For more information and ticket details, visit their website.
