The second trailer for the sequel to 1996 sci-fi blockbuster Independence Day has been released by 20th Century Fox.
We were given a taster of destruction in the first trailer released last Christmas, but the second trailer packs a hell of a punch – as do the invading aliens.
In the trailer, we can see not only are the aliens destroying American landmarks, but London also makes a devastating appearance. All hope is not lost, however, as it seems Jeff Goldblum and Liam Hemsworth are there to save the day in an aircraft equipped with alien technology taken from the first instalment.
Independence Day: Resurgence stars original cast members Bill Pullman, Vivica A. Fox, Brent Spiner and Judd Hirsch. The film also brings some new blood to the franchise, with the likes of Jessie Usher, Liam Hemsworth, Maika Monroe, Joey King and Sela Ward.
Independence Day: Resurgence is set to land in cinemas on 24th June. Watch the new trailer below.
