David Bowie appeared in the 1992 prequel film Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me as Agent Phillip Jeffries, and was apparently set to reprise his role in the upcoming Showtime reboot.
The news comes from actor Harry Goaz, who portrays Andy Brennan on the show. On Thursday (12th May), he spoke to The Dallas Morning News about said reboot, and mentioned Bowie’s return.
Those plans, however, were scrapped when Bowie sadly passed away at the beginning of the year.
The new series, planned for a 2017 release, has 217 actors signed on for the production. Even though Bowie won’t be the 218th cast member, he will always be remembered as an iconic part of the show’s history.
