Steven Spielberg’s adaptation of Ernest Cline’s sci-fi novel, Ready Player One, has found itself a new cast member, through actor T.J. Miller.
Miller recently starred as Wade Wilson’s best buddy Weasel in Marvel’s 2016 superhero black-comedy Deadpool, but is more widely known from his role as Erlich Bachman in HBO’s Silicon Valley. Miller will be portraying the troller in the online forums of the OASIS, i-R0k. He joins a burgeoning cast that already consists of Tye Sheridan, Olivia Cooke, Simon Pegg, Ben Mendelsohn and Mark Rylance.
Filming has yet to begin, but both Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow – the production companies behind the film – are leaning towards a late June start. Ready Player One is also being produced by Spielberg via Amblin Entertainment, along with Donald De Line, Kristie Macosko Krieger and Dan Farah.
