Matthew McConaughey’s wardrobe appearance for his character, The Man in Black, in the upcoming film adaptation of Stephen King’s The Dark Tower series, has been revealed.
Taking the character’s name very literally, McConaughey was spotted in New York City this week, where production on Nikolaj Arcel’s adaptation continues, wearing a top-to-toe outfit of black. With hair even dyed jet-black, the Oscar winning actor looks to be a fitting selection for the film’s villain.
Idris Elba’s Roland Deschain, the film’s protagonist, also had his wardrobe revealed in mid-May.
The Dark Tower is planned to be the first in a multi-picture, multi-medium franchise, all based on King’s book series of the same name. The franchise is planned to differ in its starting position than that of the books, but it has not yet been confirmed which book will take the reins for the first film.
